Shown on the glass unsteadily...
Here is The Farplane's main feature: my websites. My blog is listed first because it is my most active site and the site you will probably want to visit most regularly, but I do not believe updates correlate with the quality of a website; some of my sites just don't need updates. All of my sites, whether they are worked on today or not, have had a lot of passion and time poured into them. I hope you find something you can enjoy.
My books blog is fueled by nostalgia. I revisit a lot of stuff I loved as a kid including K. A. Applegate's Animorphs series and R. L. Stine's Goosebumps series. I'd like to think I'll eventually cover a book from today and I keep that option open for myself, but I haven't yet because I'm a big kid and haven't ran out of stuff from the 1990s to analyze.
While I would love for you to follow my blog, I have set it up so that it can be enjoyed any time with or without regular updates. My goal for Shadyside is to cover at least one book a month. Having said that, this is a goal. I am a student and a teacher, and Shadyside has sat for an entire semester because I've been too busy to update. My blog is most active during the months of traditional school breaks: January, June, July, August, November, and December.

Video Game Character Shrine and Fanlisting

If there is one site that has represented who I am as a writer and webmaster all of these years, it would be my Tidus shrine. It has been my flagship shrine, the fan site I am most known for, and my most active fan site. It is not perfect, but it is unmistakably me, and it is a lot of fun to work on, even thirteen years later. Poltergeist is different from any site I have created so far because I found myself truly identifying with the character; I was able to empathize with a lot of key details in Tidus' past, and because of that, this is my most personal character shrine.
Poltergeist is not as active as my two blogs, but it is the shrine that is most likely to receive updates. I have been writing about Tidus for years, and I don't know if I will ever be done.
I used to regularly replay games and revamp my sites every few years to bring them up to my then-current standards. Because I am a working professional and have a lot less free time than I used to, because I am into more and more things and would rather work on something new, and because I have realized my standards keep growing as I improve as a writer and web designer and it's impossible for every site to be my personal best, I have become at peace with all of my sites not reflecting my current standards, understanding that they were the best I could do at the time I was into a character, and feeling pride for them being complete. I enjoy revisiting these sites as a snapshot of my love for something in time, and I hope you can see them that way, too.
Unless I replay a game and decide to revamp a shrine because it is current to me again, these sites will receive very minor if any updates. They are listed here primarily in order of launch date, newest to oldest. Exceptions are sites that were revamped or rebuilt at some point in time. I moved them chronologically to where that revamp occurred.
